Every product started as an article

Uncharted Territories is a newsletter about why the world is the way it is: why some places get rich and others stay poor, why civilizations rise when they do, and where it all points to next. This shop turns some of those ideas into things you can use, wear, and hang on a wall.

It is the newsletter, in a form you can hold.

Why the dragon and the ship?

Old maps used dragons to mark the edge of the known world. Mapmakers drew them because the unknown was frightening, but the dragons also stood for what lay beyond: the adventure and the thrill of learning something new.

That is what we mean by uncharted territories. The world is still full of them, and the newsletter explores these frontiers.

The ideas behind the designs

Every UT article gives you a new understanding or perspective. Our designs are created as reminders of the ideas that made you go a-ha. Each one carries layers of meaning. Look for hidden details that go beneath the surface and reveal the deeper sense of the arguments they represent.

Society Is a BrainFrom the articles You're a Neuron and Society is a Brain: no single neuron is smart, and intelligence lives in how they are connected. So it is with people. See it on a hoodie, a tee, a kids tee, or a baby one-piece.

Tree of KnowledgeFrom the article The Tree of Knowledge: new knowledge only sticks if it connects to something you already know. A notebook for growing your own tree. See the notebook, or get it on a tote or a book bag.

From Sail to StarsProgress, as illustrated by the advances in transport technology and the exponential curve. The article, The Most Important Time in History Is Now, is one of many in UT that explore the world's trajectory inside the singularity. See it on a tee, a crewneck, a kids tee, or a baby one-piece.

Assholes All the Way DownFrom the article Assholes All the Way Down: invasions come in layers, each replacing the people before. No generation is completely innocent, so go easy on the past. Get it on a hoodie.

Posters designed by our readers

The posters came from an open design competition for the newsletter's readers. It ran from June 2 to July 26, 2026, and drew 76 entries from 27 countries. The winner, Igor Brajković - Brala, was chosen because of his designs' depth of intent and lack of AI grime. His posters are now on sale, for a limited run.

We chose to ask readers because the people who understand an idea best are those who have invested time and brain power reading and understanding the concepts. See the posters

This is just the beginning

The shop is only getting started. We will keep making new and better designs to create physical objects for the intellectually curious. We will also put more of the newsletter on paper: printed booklets that gather an article series into one book, educational posters that explain how the world works, and much more.

The first booklet we are working on collects Tomás's series on Israel and Palestine.

An AI-first media company

AI is about to change media, and Tomás sees two ways it could go: one of slop, psyops, and fake news, and another with clear information that leads to positive action. He wants the second. In April 2026, he wrote that he was building Uncharted Territories into a media company designed from the ground up with AI.

That does not mean replacing people with AI. In his words, those who can best merge humans with AI will be able to create magical pieces. The bar he sets for that work is content that is insightful, entertaining, truthful, honest, unbiased, authentic, personalized, and made at scale.

His follow-up, What Products Should We Build?, listed what such a company could make: real-life experiences, books, video, podcasts, courses, digital products, and physical products. On the physical side he asked, “What would an Uncharted Territories shop look like? What would you like to see there?” This shop is our first answer.

How it is made

Uncharted Territories is a 4-person team working across 3 continents. Tomás Pueyo writes the newsletter, and the others build what surrounds it, including this shop.

Everything is printed and shipped on demand by our fulfillment partners, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is made until you order it. The trade-off is time: delivery can take up to 3–5 weeks depending on where you live. Be sure to order early for Christmas gifts or if you have another event coming up.

If you receive something and want to show us the real thing, we would love to see it. Visit our feedback page to let us know what you think.
